My Precept Touch is unresponsive

  1. Hold your smart device close to the Precept Touch and touch the touch pad. If your smart device does not vibrate and the Bluetooth symbol at the top of your screen does not flash, this indicates there is no Bluetooth connection. Ensure that the Precept app is open and you are signed into your Precept account. Make sure that Bluetooth is on and that Bluetooth sharing is enabled. Bluetooth sharing can be enabled on an Apple device by navigating to Settings‑>Privacy‑>Bluetooth Sharing.
  2. Ensure that you are touching the touch pad on the Precept Touch. The touch pad is located immediately above the key cylinder. The light ring window is not the touch pad.
  3. Ensure that the batteries are installed correctly and have enough charge.
