Precept Home - Product Support

During the setup process, your new Precept Home will scan your home looking for other Precept devices which have already been paired with your Precept account. If you are adding any other Precept devices at this time, please go set them up first. When all your devices are paired to the Precept Home app on your smartphone, come back and setup your new Precept Home.

Install the Precept Home app if you have not already done so, then launch the Precept Home app

2.

Connect the antenna to the Precept Home antenna port.

3.

Connect the ethernet cable between the Precept Home and your home router.

4.

Plug your Precept Home into an outlet.

5.

If you have not created an account on the Precept Home app, do that now.

If you're already signed into the Precept Home app, continue to the next step.

Otherwise, sign in using the credentials for your Precept Home account.

Press the “+” button in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Press the “Pair a Device” button.

Press the “Pair a Device” button.

Pick Precept Home from the list of devices.

Click the “Get Started” button.

Click through the “Before You Connect” check lists. Make sure the Precept Home light ring is flashing white, that you have Precept devices to control, and that those devices are within a 100 foot range of the Precept Home.

When the “Pair Your Gateway” screen appears, bring your smartphone close to the Precept Home.

After the Precept Home is paired with your smartphone, it will scan for existing Precept Home devices. This can take a few minutes.

14.

When the Precept Home has found your Precept devices, it will display those devices. Click on the “Complete Setup” button to complete the setup.

15.

Congratulations, your Precept Home is setup. You can now monitor and control your Precept devices from around the world (data rates may apply). Those devices connected to your new Precept Home will show a new icon in your device list.
